Alan Committie



Alan Committie is now being seen in the prestigious leading role in “Defending the Caveman”, succeeding Tim Plewman’s record-breaking run.

His true worth in the corporate entertainment field has been built around his flexibility and wide-ranging skills as a character actor, physical and stand-up comic. He is able to adapt to all types of audiences and environments.

The corporate entertainment can vary from straight 45 min stand-up sets, MC work (straight or comic), interactive characters ( Mr Bean, Austin Powers), extracts from one man shows (TV OR NOT TV) or comic sketches and monologues interspersed throughout the evening…

Alan Committie is a comedian, actor, director, writer, producer, Master of Ceremony and a part time (fully qualified) high school teacher. Alan Committie freelances around the country and is best known for his comic one-man shows: “TV or not TV”, “The Clown Jewels” parts I and II, “Titanic on Ice and Dick and Di.

He has performed at the Stand Up South Africa Comedy festival in London, UK (2002) and was part of all the Smirnoff International Comedy Festivals between 1997 and 2003.

Other comic works include: Once upon a laugh (A Baxter theatre production that he wrote and starred in), Bedside Manners (2001 Vita nomination for Best Supporting Actor),  Richard III - the untold story of Diana’s death (2001 Vita nomination for best new script and best comic performance).

Alan Committie is also a fleur de cap nominee for best performer for DRACULA: UNCLOTTED (2004).
