The BALA family siblings have travelled an epic journey from the tough streets of Kwa-Nobuhle township, but one which has always been paved with music and song. Now the three talented brothers plan to create another proudly South African musical legacy that will shine for many decades to come. The trio comprises: the family's eldest brother, ZWAI (songwriter, musician, producer, arranger, performing artist, DJ, TV personality), middle brother LOYISO (who has carved out an impressive solo recording career) and finally their prodigiously gifted younger brother PHELO - and there you have the BALA BROTHERS.
On their debut album, 'B3', there was a unique mix of songs, ranging from such ‘popera’ standards as ‘Circle Of Life’, ‘Beauty And The Beast’ (which features the glorious voice of special guest Judith Sephuma), ‘You Raise Me Up’, and Queen’s ‘Somebody To Love’, through to operatic numbers such as ‘Nella Fantasia’, ‘Caro Mio Ben’ and ‘All I Ask Of You’ with the bulk of the songs under the baton of orchestra leader Richard Cock.
