Siki Mgabadeli was named Sanlam Financial Journalist of the Year: TV Category 2010 is considered one of the '200 Young South Africans to take to lunch 2011'. She is also nominated in the 'Mail & Guardian Book of South African Women'.
Formerly an anchor on CNBC Africa, Siki now hosts the weekday Morning Show on SAfm, called 'Morning Talk with Siki' as well as co-hosting a weekly Business programme for SABC 3 called "Africa Inc.' with Nikiwe Bikitsha.
Siki has a Bachelor of Journalism (Hons.) from Rhodes University, South Africa, where her majors were English, Economics, Television Journalism & Production and Economics Journalism.
She started her broadcasting career in 2001 at the satellite business channel Summit TV and while there, anchored African Business Tonight which aired across Africa. Then Siki became the Executive Producer: Economics TV and business news anchor at the SABC and anchored Business@10 on SABC 3 as well as 'Interface' and 'In the Public Interest'. On the radio front, Siki was heard on SAFM’s daily business programme 'Market Update' and the Saturday edition of 'Weekend AM Live'. She also produced and anchored 'Business Beat' as well as the business news on the SABC’s 'Morning Live'.
Then off to eTV as their morning news anchor on 'Morning Edition' and then to CNBC Africa. Internationally, Siki is recognised as the 'face' of the GSMA Mobile Money Summit.
