Krijay Govender
Krijay Govender has been voted by the media 'the funniest woman is South Africa' and has been nominated as Top Comedian/enne (Mzansi awards).
Rated as one of the 'Top 3 MCs in SA' (Gwen Gill column, Sunday Times), Krijay works extensively on the corporate stage, hosting events for Government/Business in London to local awards ceremonies and conferences which have featured such VIPs as Al Gore, FIFA Executives and Heads of State.
Besides her Stand-up comedy career, Govender is an award-winning actress, playwright and director of stage and screen (Font, Isidingo). She collected 2 SAFTAs for direction for 'Isidingo', was behind the hit series Ubizo and currently directs the popular series, Rhythm City. She also plays the part of Dadi Kaif in the SA movie 'Material'.
She is also an awarding winning playwright (Women in Brown) and has worked as a radio presenter and a print columnist.
Krijay is a former Miss India SA and Runner-Up in Miss India Worldwide (held in New York); also Most Talented, Miss Congeniality, Best Smile).
