He was the first South African musician to perform on the Oprah Winfrey Show in Chicago. Other guests on the day included Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner, Josh Groban and John Travolta.; was voted one of S.A.'s few role models in a First National Bank national survey.; performed for Nelson Mandela and Oprah Winfrey at Madiba's annual birthday party in Qunu in Transkei.; has toured and performed with many international acts including: Usher, Craig David, Puff Daddy, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Bob Geldof, U2, Queen and Beyoncé. Was voted Number 34 in Heat Magazine's Top 100 for 2007.

Danny K is a multiple nominee and winner at the SAMA (South African Music Awards); was winner of the 2005 SAMA award for Best Pop Album for his collaboration with Mandoza titled Same Difference * Toured, double-billed and performed in South Africa with the likes of Usher, Craig David, Puff Daddy, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Eric Benet, Bob Geldof, U2, Queen, Beyonce, Ludacris, Will Smith, Annie Lennox, Christina Aguilera, Deborah Cox, Diana Ross and Seal * Performed for MTV at the 2000 MTV Staying Alive concert in Cape Town and the MTV 100th Live, televised to hundred of millions of viewers in the world by MTV. Opening of the ICC (International Cricket Convention) World Cup Opening Ceremony to over 2.5 billion viewers - an enormous global audience.
Danny K has numerous other awards including: 2 Consecutive Kids Choice Awards( voted for by over 1 million SA South African kids), 4 SAMA nominations, Channel O nomination for Best Collaboration, 2 Consecutive Crystal Awards (People’s Choice Awards), You Magazine Award-Best SA Musician,,-one of SA largest magazine publications, SA STYLE award-best dressed Male. Also voted one of South Africa's few “role models” in a FNB national survey. Danny K’s crossover power was confirmed by researches at the University of KwaZulu-Natal as being one of the most accessible white South Africans who mixes easily with fellow black South Africans.
He has done extensive charity and social work for many worthy causes in South Africa, e.g. performing in front of over 30 000 underprivileged kids for Nelson Mandela and Oprah Winfrey at Mandela’s annual Birthday party in Qunu in the Transkei. Danny is also Reach for a Dream patron, and LIFE Champion in South Africa.
