From Dubai to Sydney, Cape Town to Miami, London to Toronto and New York City to Johannesburg, Euphonik has played sets across the globe, entertaining discerning clubbers and gaining hundreds of thousands of fans spanning five continents. He’s served on the panel for the electronic music industry’s premier annual conference, The Miami Winter Conference; and he’s opened for some of the biggest names in the electro music industry including Swedish House Mafia, Avicii, Afrojack, Skrillex, Louie Vega, Richie Hawtin, ATB and Markus Schulz. All of this before the age of 30!
Despite gaining an international following at a rapid rate, Euphonik is still very much a staple of South Africa’s club scene. One of the country’s most sought-after DJ’s, he gigs almost every night of the week across all nine provinces.
After his infectious mixes achieved radio play, initially on regional station Yfm, and eventually on 5FM where he was offered the opportunity of hosting his own shows. His two prime time weekend radio shows on national station, 5FM (F.eU Nights with DJ Fresh, airing Saturdays, 21:00-23:00 and My House, airing Sundays 17:00-19:00) and his regular Friday mixes on Fresh’s morning show alongside DJ Kent, ‘Kentphonik Fridays’ , provide him with the ideal platform for reaching music lovers throughout the country.
Euphonik has been nominated for the South African Music Awards (SAMAs) as well as at the Metro FM Awards, and has released 6 albums to date. His name has been included in The Mail & Guardian’s 200 Young South Africans list. Passionate about investing in the next generation of DJ’s, Euphonik also hosts a highly successful annual workshop for aspiring DJs called DJ101.
Exposing South Africa’s music scene and sounds – especially local electronic dance music – to the rest of the world, is something that Euphonik is passionate about.
