Sarah Armstrong

Sarah, an admitted attorney, company director, and speaker at South Africa’s thought leader in all matters related to social media and the law.

Being passionate about all forms of communication, specifically digital communication, her days are spent educating others in the best and correct ways to use social media effectively – and safely. She gives talks at companies, and schools, across the country on the legal, reputational and disciplinary risks of using social media. She has a particular interest in empowering parents to protect their children when it comes to the ever-changing digital world.

Sarah’s practice areas include reputation management, crisis management and communication, all aspects of social media law, and assisting victims of
revenge porn and cyberbullying.

Prior to taking up her current position, Sarah spent five years running strategic communications and donor relations for African Leadership Academy (ALA), a leadership academy for talented African youth. In this role, Sarah crafted stakeholder engagement strategies for ALA’s global network of high-profile donors and partners, and also served in a legal advisory capacity.

Sarah is an admitted attorney and completed her articles at Edward Nathan Sonnenbergs where she dealt with a
wide range of commercial and litigious matters. Sarah holds a BA and LLB from the University of the
Witwatersrand.

When she isn’t working, Sarah enjoys all aspects of food – from cooking to eating and running – both on the road
and after her two children.
