Based in Zimbabwe, Hopewell Chin’ono is an investigative journalist and documentary filmmaker focused on governance, corruption and media freedom in Africa. A Nieman Fellow at Harvard University and a Tutu Leadership Fellow at Oxford’s Saïd Business School, he has reported for The New York Times, BBC and ITV News. His documentaries, including Pain in My Heart and State of Mind, examine HIV stigma and mental health in Zimbabwe. Jean-Vincent Ridon

Jean-Vincent Ridon is a sommelier and winemaker based in Cape Town with experience spanning more than 50 harvests across several continents. He founded the Sommelier Academy and is the author of Passion for Pairing. He has served on international wine juries and coached Team South Africa at the Blind Wine Tasting World Championships. Joey Evans is a South African endurance motorcyclist and author whose life changed after a 2007 accident left him paralysed from the chest down. Following intensive rehabilitation, he learned to walk again and returned to competitive riding, ultimately completing the Dakar Rally, widely regarded as one of the world’s toughest off-road races. His memoir, From Para to Dakar, documents that journey.
