Frequently asked questions
We save you time, reduce risk and help you make better-informed decisions. We know the speakers, understand what works for different audiences and manage everything from recommendations and negotiations through to contracts and logistics. Think of us as your shortcut to finding the right talent for your event. PLUS – we’ve never yet met a speaker who’s told us that they’re not very good !
Not at all, hence our name, FamousFacesPlus. While many clients come to us looking for well-known personalities, some of the most impactful speakers are business leaders, industry experts and specialist commentators whose insights resonate strongly with audiences. Our focus is always on finding the right person for every event.
If you have a specific speaker in mind, booking as early as possible is always advisable. Popular speakers are often committed months, or even years in advance for landmark events. That said, we regularly help clients secure outstanding speakers at relatively short notice, as that seems more and more of a trend these days.
In most cases, yes. The best speakers don't simply arrive and deliver the same presentation they've given a hundred times before. They take the time to understand who they'll be speaking to, what the event is trying to achieve and what challenges or opportunities are relevant to the audience. We'll arrange a briefing with the speaker or MC before the event, and the more information you can share, the better. A little background can make a big difference in helping a presentation feel relevant, engaging and genuinely connected to the people in the room.
Most keynote presentations are around 45 minutes, although many speakers can adapt to suit your programme. Some can also participate in panel discussions, workshops, fireside chats or audience Q&A sessions.
A great MC can be the difference between an event that simply runs and one that really works. While it's often tempting to hand the role to someone from within the business, a professional MC brings experience, confidence and an ability to read the room that only comes from doing it regularly. Their job is about much more than introducing speakers. They keep the event moving, maintain the energy, handle any unexpected hiccups, make sure people know what's happening next and help create a positive experience for everyone in the room. The best MCs become the glue that holds an event together. They keep the audience engaged, help speakers shine and take a great deal of pressure off the organisers. Most importantly, they make it all look easy.
Absolutely. In fact, this is one of the most common reasons people contact us. Once we know all about your audience, your objectives and your budget, we'll recommend speakers, MCs or facilitators who are genuinely suited to your event. The right choice is not always the most famous name.
There is no simple answer, as speaker fees depend on a number of factors. These include the profile of the speaker, the type of event, whether the presentation needs to be tailored, any rehearsal requirements, travel commitments and the amount of time involved. Generally speaking, high-profile personalities and sporting icons command higher fees, while subject matter experts and business speakers often fall into a different fee range. International speakers typically attract the highest fees due to travel and availability considerations. The good news is that there are outstanding speakers available at almost every budget level. Once we’ve discussed your event in detail, we will help you find the right person or people to deliver maximum impact and value for your investment.
