Vusi Thembekwayo is an internationally respected entrepreneur, investor, and business strategist whose influence extends across Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and the United States. He has built a career at the intersection of enterprise growth, leadership, and investment, earning a reputation as one of the most authoritative voices shaping the future of African business. A seasoned venture capitalist, Vusi is the founder and CEO of MyGrowthFund Venture Partners, an award-winning venture firm and accelerator supporting high-growth African entrepreneurs. He is also a General Partner at Watermark Afrika Capital, a Middle Eastern corporate finance and advisory firm specialising in cross-border investment into Sub-Saharan Africa. In addition, he is the founder and shareholder of VUKA Capital, a private equity platform managing investments across retail, fintech, manufacturing, commodities trading, and healthcare. Vusi is also an investor in Lion Cage, a leading emerging-technology accelerator.

His earlier career saw him managing a R400 million business division by the age of 25 and becoming one of the youngest directors of a JSE-listed company. He later gained further prominence as a dragon investor on the African edition of Dragon’s Den, cementing his status as one of the continent’s most influential young business leaders.

Vusi holds several key board positions, including Squared Financial in Luxembourg; The Innovation Village, East Africa’s largest accelerator funded by global payment partners; and Silicon Cape, South Africa’s premier technology ecosystem. His work in these roles supports innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital transformation across emerging markets.
