Bongani Bingwa
This award-winning journalist and broadcaster hosts the award-winning ‘Breakfast with Bongani Bingwa and is back by popular demand as a contributor to the weekly current affairs show ‘Carte Blanche’ on MNet.
Bongani is much-in-demand as an MC, panel discussion chairperson and programme director at corporate functions. From The Gary Player Invitational to the Inyathelo Awards, he has hosted events for many of the country’s biggest corporate names including the top banks and financial institutions and top 20 on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.
He has interviewed ordinary folks as well as international stars and leading politicians. Highlights include Luther Van Dross, George Benson, Malcolm Gladwell, Spike Lee, government ministers, opposition political leaders, senior business executives, authors and other high-profile individuals – too many to mention!
Bongani Bingwa was educated at Wits University where he studied for a B.A. degree majoring in History and English. Bongani has also completed various courses on Youth Development and has a strong passion for mentorship programmes which involve young people.
He is fluent in English and isiXhosa with, in his words, “patchy” Afrikaans.
