Jacques Lagesse is an entertainer with a velvet-lined voice, accompanied by the mellow tones of the acoustic and jazz guitars.

With more than 30 yrs experience in the entertainment industry, performing  with established Jazz bands in the early days, Jacques forte is performing the songs from the era of the Crooners and Balladeers. His other talent is obvious in the combining of his voice with the acoustic guitar – and together they create the ideal mood for any event – whether networking, dining or just chilling. His technical equipment also enables Jacques to stroll while performing, if requested.

His extensive  repertoire includes a beautiful ballads, Latin & jazz standards and fun renditions of popular songs. Between his live performance sets, he will play appropriate background music.

If a duo or trio is preferred, we will upweight Jacques’ solo performance to meet your criteria.

Apart from the soft percussive rhythm machine, all the music you hear is live and a minimal set-up space is required.

Born from Mauritian stock, Jacques has a strong flair for Latin rhythms and has added many Bossa Nova and Samba tunes to his expansive repertoire. Jacques Lagesse recently enjoyed a contract in Dubai where he performed to a cosmopolitan audience at several of the major hotels.  Jacques continues to add music from Yesteryear to his repertoire.

Fully self-contained, Jacques Lagesse is much in demand at up-market company  functions around the country AND he has the ability to perform – without any power source – ‘unplugged’.
