Nicolette Mashile is an experienced broadcaster with her on-air experience including SABC1’s daily youth talk show, ‘Thetha’ and SABC 2’s ‘Sanlam Moola Money’ family game
She has anchored many financial literacy campaigns on behalf for blue chip brands like Sanlam, AlexForbes, Old Mutual, Momentum, Standard Bank, Capitec, Old
Mutual Namibia, FNB, the JSE and many more.
A seasoned public speaker and MC, Nicolette has directed notable events for such companies as REIS, AlexForbes, Credit Guarantee, Old Mutual Insure, JSE, Bankmed, FedHealth and Google
She is the author of the bestseller, ‘What’s your Move’ and the creator of the children’s financial education series, ‘Coco the Money Bunny’.
In 2022 her was awarded the Gold PRISM award for ‘Podcast of the Year’.
Often seen on YouTube, her ‘Financial Bunny’ was selected as one of the ‘2021 Black Voices To Amplify’ by YouTube.
Nicolette is the founder of a financial fitness consumer content agency, the developer of a financial literacy board game and of the mobile application ‘Save or Spend’.
Outside of the financial education space, Nicolette is an astute and acclaimed communicator, having worked on many blue-chip communications campaigns, including managing crisis communications for BP during the Gulf of Mexico spillage and SANRAL during the e-tolls crisis. On the latter, she worked closely with the then Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa’s office.
Nicolette spent a year as an educator at the Kings School Westrand, teaching Physical Education and Life skills.
With a noteworthy reach on social media of over 840 000 followers across her social media channels, Nicolette leads critically-affected socio-economic conversations with her mostly young followers.
She is the co-founder of a property investments company and a SAIBPP Women’s Forum committee member.
She holds a National Diploma in Sports Management, A National Certificate in Debt Counselling, BA in Human and Social Studies Majoring in Advertising, an honours
degree in Integrated Organisational Communications, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration, and is currently completing her MBA thesis with a focus on factors influencing the purchasing decisions of financial products and services.
